SkyGlow: Light Atmosphere Designer is Vir2 Instruments’ premier virtual instrument designed to create luminous, cinematic textures filled with warmth and emotional lift.
Built from an extensive set of manipulated guitars, cellos, pianos, vintage hardware synthesizers, and tempo-synced melodic elements, SkyGlow produces evolving atmospheres that breathe with subtle motion. Immersive field recordings from Hawaii’s remote ecosystems, including ocean waves and native bird calls, add an organic layer that gives the instrument a living, expansive sense of depth.
SkyGlow features a sophisticated four-engine architecture with over 800 individual sound sources. The interface centers on a dynamic X/Y pad which allows you to morph between layers. Some sounds shimmer with subtle pulse while others float weightlessly in spacious detail to ensure textures never feel static.
Drag any WAV or AIFF file to one of the four engines and use the power of SkyGlow with your own library of sounds. From there, customize the sample start, loop points, and keyboard mapping.
Choose from curated effects to modulate and apply to any engine on the fly with key triggers. From controlling distortion with an LFO to running multi-bandpass through a step sequencer, the creative possibilities are endless!
