Loopmasters and Loopcloud have announced the recent addition of Electro Swing Fiddle by Loopmasters.
Introducing Electro Swing Fiddle from Loopmasters – the ideal string companion to Electro Swing Thing. Packed with fun, energetic violin loops at a steady 124 BPM, this collection is perfect not only for electro swing but also for any upbeat genre that thrives on lively, rhythmic strings.
The loops are performed by the incredibly talented violinist Jess, a classically trained musician who began playing at the age of three on a 1/8-sized fiddle. Over the years, she progressed through sizes and grades with ease, eventually taking her skills to the streets as a busker and performing with bands. Jess plays both acoustic and electric violins, including a unique five-string Bridge electric and her beloved acoustic Maggini-style violin, handcrafted by a Dutch luthier around 200 years ago. Known for their slightly broader build, Maggini violins offer a rich, full-bodied sound—perfect for capturing expressive performances. Jess brings influences from gypsy, ska, and circus music, and often loops Irish and Balkan melodies in her street performances.
The loops in Electro Swing Fiddle come in four different keys and a variety of techniques and playing styles. There are bowed phrases, both staccato (short and detached) and legato (smooth and connected), along with plucked strings, tremolo, trills, and impactful double stops.
